Applications Engineer

Location: Manchester - Trafford Park

Reporting to: Regional Technical Manager – (Pre-Sales)

Purpose of the role: Provide technical/project support to customers and Kooltech employees. Maintain Regional database and promote Kooltech products and services to Contractors and Consultants.

Salary: Dependent on experience  

Job type: full time 

 

Daily duties and responsibilities:

  • To apply our product range to HVAC design criteria to deliver sound and reliable solutions and provide our customers with accurate quotations
  • Assist customers in all technical advice and support as required
  • Provide technical assistance to all Kooltech employees
  • Provide assistance to sales and administration colleagues by accepting telephone orders and enquiries.
  • Maintain familiarity with all supplied air conditioning and refrigeration products
  • Attend site when required to resolve warranty disputes
  • To increase quality and effectiveness of Kooltech design team, regularly monitoring service levels
  • To manage the project database, maintaining standards and effectiveness of quotations
  • Maintain good customer relationships, recognising that some events will occur out of normal working hours
  • Communicate effectively with branch maintaining effective inter-personal relationship
  • Ensure compliance to Company Policies and Procedures in all aspects

Skills:

  • Previous industry experience in design and application of HVAC equipment essential.
  • Qualification in mechanical engineering or similar discipline advantageous but not essential.
  • Hevacomp (or similar mechanical design software) & CAD experience advantageous but not essential.
  • Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
  • User experience of K8 or other ERP system advantageous but not essential.

Branch Manager

Location: Fareham

Reporting to: Operations Director

Purpose of the role: To manage and motivate the branch team to deliver operational excellence, outstanding service and sustainable profitable sales.

Salary: Dependent on experience 

Job type: full time

We need an experienced leader to inspire and manage the operational and internal sales function of our successful Fareham branch. Our operation needs someone whom can implement our company processes, motivate team members to deliver market leading service and develop sustainable profitable sales.

 

Daily duties and responsibilities:

  • Face-to-face service at the trade counter
  • Maintain and improve our high standards of Customer Service.
  • Liaising with sales channels.
  • Providing customers with detailed knowledge of products & support services.
  • Manage, motivate, train and develop team as required.
  • Actively promote good team working.
  • Processing Sales and Purchase Orders; maintaining Branch records.
  • Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures in all aspects of Branch operation
  • Maintain complete familiarity with the company ERP system to ensure accurate and efficient workflow.
  • Working closely with the Finance Team, ensure efficient collection of payments, issuing of credits and administration of warranty claims.
  • Stock Management.
  • Efficient planning and execution of delivery schedule.
  • Ensure complicity with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Supporting customers with any query that might arise.

Skills:

  • Experience in running a busy branch, preferably within associated trades
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Great communicator, both verbal & written

Project Sales Manager

Location: Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham & London

Reporting to: Regional Project Sales Manager

Purpose of the role: Sales and Influence of the Mitsubishi Air Conditioning Product Range

Salary: Dependent on experience  

Job type: full time 

 

Daily duties and responsibilities:

  • Enthusiastically promote sales of Kooltech and influence the range of Mitsubishi products
  • Achieve sales turnover targets and agreed KPI’s including quotation and sales conversion targets
  • Actively track all projects and share project information with the product sales team
  • Be responsible for day-to-day management of customer accounts
  • Provide a constantly improved quality of Customer Service and ensure speedy response to all customer enquiry
  • Engage and interact with client decision makers
  • Maintain good customer relationships, recognising that some events will occur out of normal working hours
  • Communicate effectively with branch and Internal Sales
  • Implement company strategy and deliver sales execution standards

Skills:

  • Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
  • Previous sales experience
  • An understanding of VRF / VRV air conditioning systems, Mitsubishi Electric preferred
  • An understanding of Consultant, Contractor route to market
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word & Excel) and company ERP systems

Technical Supervisor

Location: Fareham

Reporting to: National Technical Manager

Purpose of the role: Supervising and leading the Technical Team to deliver outstanding customer service. Part of this range of services include commissioning of Mitsubishi Electric VRF systems, providing sound technical support to customers and colleagues and handling warranty claims.

Daily duties and responsibilities:

  • Commissioning VRF split systems when required
  • Supervise and support engineers on site or in the working regarding technical issues and training
  • Attend site to resolve commissioning and installation queries 
  • Support Kooltech branches with technical support 
  • Attend site when required to resolve warranty disputes 
  • Prepare and maintain commissioning forms, log sheets, Health and Safety records where applicable 
  • Provide assistance to sales and admin colleagues by accepting telephone orders and enquiries and communicating details for the sales order processing system
  • Promote product sales and services to contractors and consultants when possible
  • Maintain familiarity with new and present Mitsubishi Electric products ie. attend training courses when required
  • Actively participate in branch meetings to discuss and exchange views and ideas to improve performance, appertaining to the larger group picture
  • Assist Regional Technical Managers with in-house training courses when required 

Skills:

  • Experience working on Mitsubishi Electric Air conditioning systems, controls and heating products (but not essential)
  • Technicians level 3 or equivalent experience

Product Sales Manager

Location: Fareham

Reporting to:Regional Product Manager

Purpose of the role: Field based Sales Manager whom develops sustainable and profitable sales growth of the Kooltech product range including Mitsubishi Air Conditioning in compliance with authorized pricing and discount structure.

Salary: Dependent on experience  

Job type: full time 

 

Daily duties and responsibilities:

  • Achieve Engage and interact with client decision makers to identify new and emerging business opportunities. Establish informal rapport with customers to obtain market intelligence on prevalent competitive pricing policies, additions/deletions to product offerings, or special promotions intended/currently in vogue.
  • Achieve sales turnover targets agreed for the territory/assigned customer group (exceeding these levels wherever possible) with optimum gross margins adhering to company policies on discount procedures.
  • To speak positively and enthusiastically about the company and its products and services to ensure that a professional company and brand image is always provided to customers and colleagues.
  • In ALL instances where special pricing needs to be quoted to meet competitive or customer pressures, prior approval must be sought from the Regional Product Manager.
  • Provide a constantly improved quality of Customer Service by maintaining regular contact with personal visits, telephone and written communications.
  • Maintain regular market intelligence on competitive pricing policies, products range and/or special promotions for regular weekly or monthly reporting to the Regional Product Manager (as directed) with any appropriate recommendations for Kooltech action.
  • Be responsible for day-to-day management of customer accounts, as directed by the Regional Product Manager.
  • Provide entertainment/hospitality to develop and maintain good customer relationships, recognising that some events will occur outside normal working hours.
  • Ensure speedy response to each and every customer enquiry - in consultation with the Regional Product Manager whenever required to do so.
  • Support the role of Internal Sales and/or the Branch upon direction from the Regional Product Manager whenever required to do so.
  • Maintain complete familiarity with the computer link to head-office and the CRM operating system with a “hands-on” approach to ensure continuing use of modern technology in use and generation of performance data.
  • Promote sales of Kooltech’s range of products and build effective relationships with HEVAC contractors through planned targeting of existing and potential customers/clients.
  • Assist the Internal Account Manager, as and when necessary, in:

(a)Administration of warranty claims

(b)Timely payments by debtors (in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions applicable to specific customer accounts).

(c)Customer account development strategies

  • Maintain excellent inter-personal relationships with all personnel at the branch and those at other branches/head office/subsidiary companies within the Kooltech group.
  • Actively participate in regular sales staff meetings. Communicating any notable sales achievements and/or developments in the market or any improvements in operating methods which generate cost reduction, and/or productivity.

Sales execution standards:

  • To maintain and update records in our CRM system accurately such as visit/call notes, contact details, email addresses, organisational information etc in accordance with data protection requirements.
  • Rolling out new products with defined customers and other marketing/sales initiatives.
  • Define yearly sales/activity plan and customer development strategies for key customers with the support of the Regional Product Manager and Internal Sales in line with key performance indicators.
  • Review own performance against key performance indicators/targets with the Regional Product Manager and agree corrective actions where required.
  • Achieve desired level of customer visit activity defined by the Regional Product Manager.
  • To carry out data cleaning to provide accurate information and support for marketing campaigns and to increase new business opportunities.
  • Provide the Regional Product Manager with reports or information as required.

Skills:

  • Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
  • Previous sales experience
  • An understanding of refrigeration and Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning systems
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word & Excel).
  • User experience of ERP system advantageous but not essential.
